Ever since I took my first photography class in high school I was hooked. In college I would have been happy to spend all my free time in the darkroom. I see the world around me in photographs. I curse myself if I see something amazing and don't have my camera. I don't mind staying up way later than I should to edit photos. I see something special and beautiful in every face and I love being able to capture it with my camera lens. So I am so, so very grateful to the families who have entrusted me with capturing their memories this year. It truly is a tremendous honor and one I don't take lightly. I look forward to more smiles and giggles and happy photos in 2012. Here are a few of my favorites from 2011.
So after reading about some adorable little sock and glove creatures on A Blog About Love I had to purchase this sweet book.
And I have become completely obsessed with making these little animals. I think I have made 6 in the past few days. It started out as an idea for Christmas gifts for my daughter's friends. I thought this would be a sweet, homemade, non- commercial gift. The only problem is Ella falls in love with each animal I make and has to keep it as her own.
Ella's favorite new activity is writing short stories. I love to read these amazing stories that she comes up with. An eight year old's imagination is a truly wonderful thing. I made her this custom notebook for Christmas from Shutterfly. At only $12, I thought it was a great bargain and I know the stories it will contain will be pricesless.
